According to TechFlow, according to Crowdfund Insider, a survey conducted by Focaldata commissioned by Zumo shows that before the upcoming British general election, more than a third of young British people believe that cryptocurrency is an important election issue. The survey shows that 34% of young people aged 18-24 and 25-34 believe that the development of the crypto industry should be a priority for national politicians. The survey also showed that 38% of young people aged 18-24 have invested in cryptocurrencies themselves, while 40% (37% for 25-34) know that friends and family hold cryptocurrencies. A similar proportion of young people (39% for 18-24 and 37% for 25-34) believe that this emerging industry is a way to achieve long-term high returns.

Nick Jones, founder and CEO of Zumo, said: "As cryptocurrency enters the mainstream, our survey results show that young people in the UK want it to enter the political agenda as well. Given the widespread turmoil in the traditional financial system, the UK should support alternative financial solutions rather than panic and compare them to gambling. A resilient future financial system should incorporate new ideas and structures to provide added value to consumers."
