🔴 The US state of Louisiana has made legislative changes to prohibit the use of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and set rules for miners and node operators. The law will come into force in August 2024.

- Foreign companies engaged in mining digital assets will be forced to completely sell their interests within a year.

- Node operators do not have the right to change or decide the outcome of transactions initiated by users.

- The prospects for the digital dollar in the US are increasingly uncertain as other states, including Florida and North Carolina, have passed legislation to limit or ban the use of CBDCs.
