Kanav Kariya became head of cryptocurrencies at Chicago-based trading giant Jump Trading at the age of 25, and now he is leaving the company. 😮 This follows a Fortune report that the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is investigating the company's cryptocurrency transactions.

Kariya stated that his departure today was "a moment that I greet with both a heavy heart and great excitement about the road ahead." 🎢

The Wormhole cryptocurrency bridge backed by Jump was hacked for more than $300 million in early 2022, causing Jump to recoup the losses out of its own pocket. 😱 Then Do Kwon's Terra/Luna project exploded and accusations were brought against Kwon.

Kariya was only 25 years old when he became president of Jump Crypto. Now in his late 20s, he said, "I plan to continue to be involved with the portfolio companies I'm most interested in and hopefully take some time to process the incredible events we've experienced over the last few years." 🚀
