The cryptocurrency market was shaken by hacking cases last weekend. According to data from on-chain security firm Scam Sniffer, a cryptocurrency investor lost $11 million worth of aEthMKR and Pendle after signing multiple Permit phishing scam links on June 23.
The address of the investor who was cyber-attacked was recorded as “0xfb…accfa” and the address of the attacker was recorded as “0x73…bb96”.
Arkham announced that the victim of the cyber attack was a MakerDAO management representative.
Other investors were also affected
There have been other investors affected by similar phishing scams.
The data revealed that an investor lost 3,657 Maker (MKR) worth $ 8.7 million and 2.56 million PT Ethena worth $ 2.4 million.
Recently, crypto portfolio tracking application CoinStats said that some iOS users received fraud notifications and that there was a security incident that directly affected wallets created in CoinStats.
CoinStats stated that approximately 1,590 wallets were affected by this incident.
