ChainCatcher reported that Nomura Securities (NMR) and its digital asset subsidiary Laser Digital found after a survey of institutional investors that more than half of Japanese investment managers plan to invest in digital assets in the next three years.

The survey showed that 54% of respondents intend to invest in cryptocurrencies in the next three years, and 25% of companies said they have a positive impression of digital assets. The study said that 62% of respondents believe that cryptocurrencies are a diversification opportunity along with cash, stocks, bonds and commodities, and many investors view digital assets as an investment asset class.

Investors said that the preferred configuration of digital assets accounts for 2%-5% of assets under management (AUM), and nearly 80% said they will invest within a year.
