According to U.Today, the Dogecoin (DOGE) community remains hopeful about the potential integration of DOGE payments on the X platform. This optimism was revealed in a recent tweet by the popular MyDoge cryptocurrency wallet, which asked the DOGE community if they believed the X platform should support Dogecoin payments in the future. The question was met with a wave of positive responses, indicating that the DOGE community still believes their favorite meme cryptocurrency will power tipping and micropayments on the X social media platform.

Elon Musk, a well-known Dogecoin enthusiast, has been securing licenses in new U.S. states this year to roll out the X Payments feature. An X insider known as 'DogeDesigner' has indicated that payments are expected to be launched on the platform by the end of the year. This information, coupled with the acquisition of payment processing licenses in Illinois, Oregon, and New Mexico in March, is likely fueling the DOGE community's optimism about potential DOGE integration on X.

Many experts have also suggested that cryptocurrency could be one of the payment options on X. Despite Dogecoin currently trading 83.15% below its historic peak of $0.7376 on May 8, 2021, it remains part of the top 10 list, according to CoinMarketCap. Elon Musk's endorsement of DOGE on Saturday Night Live and his tweet about being 'The DogeFather' in 2021 pushed the meme cryptocurrency to its all-time high. Recently, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson speculated that Musk may hold around 20% of the meme coin’s supply, or perhaps Musk simply has a fondness for it.
