Odaily Planet Daily News Cryptocurrency portfolio management company CoinStats temporarily suspended user activities after 1,590 crypto wallets were affected by a security vulnerability. "The attack has been mitigated and we have temporarily shut down the application to isolate the security incident," Coinstats wrote in a June 22 article. It added: "Due to the immediate incident response of the CoinStats team, only 1.3% of CoinStats wallets were affected, totaling 1,590 wallets, and neither the connected wallets nor the CEX were affected." CoinStats said on its website that since it "requires read-only access to connected crypto wallets," users' assets are "completely safe in any case." The platform allows users to connect all wallets and use it as an overall crypto portfolio tracker, which allows them to view all wallets in one place. Coinstats released a Google document listing all currently affected crypto wallets. The document mentioned that this list "may change" as the investigation progresses, but no major changes are expected. It said: "If your wallet address is on this affected list, use your private key to transfer funds immediately." (Cointelegraph)
