As part of development for the Shiba Inu community, the head of the project's developers, Shitoshi Kusama, shared information about the upcoming update to the game. This update was developed specifically for members of the SHIBArmy community.
Shitoshi Kusama spoke about the key features of the game and how it will help increase participation and use of the SHIB coin in the Shiba Inu ecosystem. He also revealed that holders of the Shiboshi NFT - a collection of 10,000 pixelated Shiba Inu characters - will be able to play and earn treats for SHIB in the game.
Lucy, a Shiba Inu team member and head of marketing, shared this information on Platform X (formerly Twitter). She also said that once development is complete, the game will only be licensed by the decentralized Shiba Inu team for use in the Tier 2 Shibarium project's blockchain solution.
Kusama emphasized that the game is completely autonomous and is not related to the activities of Shiba Inu Games. However, it will provide special chances and value to the project's main tokens, such as SHIB, LEASH and BONE. Additionally, Kusama noted that there will be potential burns of SHIB and LEASH tokens in the game.
Although details about the game are still kept secret, the announcement has already caused a lot of discussion among SHIBArmy members. They think about possible game features and how they might work in the current environment. The move is believed to be part of a broader plan to capitalize on the growing interest in blockchain-based gaming to increase SHIB's value and adoption.
The announcement comes in light of ongoing speculation regarding an upcoming prize draw from Shibarium users. According to Lucy, on July 1, 2024, there will be a drawing of an NFT art project on the Shiba Inu blockchain for the Shibarium community. In particular, SHIBA SWEEPERS, a community NFT project to create Shibarium, is the source of the giveaway. 10,000 individual fragments (3,000 animated NFTs and 7,000 PNGs) will be officially distributed, and each fragment will cost 7 bone tokens.
