The launch of the LayerZero token on June 20 caused fees to skyrocket on Arbitrum, increasing blockchain revenue to a record $3.43 million per day, up 16.680% from the day before. 📈

LayerZero launched the ZRO token, but drew criticism for its mandatory "donation" mechanism, requiring applicants to spend a small amount for each token.

This led to an increase in the average commission on the blockchain to 89 cents, instead of the usual less than 1 cent.

Thus, the profit for the day increased to $3.29 million, another record for the network, according to Dune Analytics and DefiLlama.

The ZRO token, meanwhile, fell 23% over the past day to $3.42, having peaked at $4.79, according to CoinGecko.
