Tyler Varner, known as @Tyler_Did_It, has become one of the leading sources of information about NFTs and cryptocurrencies. His NFT portfolio was worth around 1,000 ETH at one time, but like many JPEG enthusiasts, he lost most of his paper wealth when NFTs met a brutal bear market. 📉

Varner, a former banker and corporate consultant, says the GameStop saga in early 2021 made him question the legitimacy of the traditional financial system.

Believing that his work in financial services consulting contributed to maintaining an unfair system, he increased his focus on NFTs and cryptocurrencies, and by August 2021, he had retired from corporate work.

Warner remains optimistic about the future of digital sports memorabilia. He believes NBA Top Shot, a key catalyst for NFT adoption in 2020 and early 2021, still has the most potential.
