Meme coins including Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Pepe (PEPE) posted poor performance on June 18, highlighting a reversal from last week's gains. 📉 The total capitalization of meme coins fell by 11% to $45.31 billion over the past 24 hours.

Dogwifhat (WIF) is the biggest loser among meme coins, losing 14.55% of its market value in the last 24 hours. Book of Meme (BOME) followed with a 14.3% loss, and Brett (BRETT) came in third, down 13% over the same period.

Leading meme coins DOGE and SHIB fell 11.4% and 11.5% respectively, while PEPE lost 10%.

Meme coin trading volume has been declining since early March. Data from Dune Analytics shows that meme coin transactions across all blockchains, including Ethereum and Solana, fell 97% from a March peak of approximately $996.7 million to $30.35 million for the week ending June 14.
