According to ChainCatcher, the crypto political action committee (PAC) Fairshake Group has invested more than $2 million to oppose the incumbent in the Democratic primary for New York's 16th Congressional District. According to data from the U.S. Federal Election Commission, the funds were mainly used for media ads aimed at preventing Democratic Congressman Jamaal Bowman from being re-elected. Fairshake's attack ads did not directly mention cryptocurrency or blockchain, but accused Congressman Bowman of "promoting dangerous conspiracy theories" throughout his career.
