According to The Block, after the UwU Lend platform attacker failed to return the funds, the protocol is taking another step to find the hacker. According to Input Data Message (IDM) on Ethereum, UwU Lend has set up a $5 million ETH bounty for the "first person to identify and find" the exploiter, adding that "no funds or fees are required to be recovered."

Previously, the agreement had discussed setting up a bounty directly with the exploiter. The attacker could keep 20% of what they stole as long as they gave back 80%, and if the exploiter complied, the agreement said it would not pursue the matter further or involve law enforcement.

The attackers were given until 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday to return the funds, but in a message sent to the attackers on Thursday, UwU Lend wrote that "the deadline for repayment of the stolen funds has expired."
