It seems like only yesterday that the WAX Blockchain was born five years ago. Time flies, and five years have passed in a flash. During these five years, the WAX Blockchain has undergone a transformation and growth, and has become a vibrant and innovative ecosystem. Five years ago, in June 2019, the first block on the WAX Blockchain was created (waxblock.io/block/1), and it’s been an amazing journey since then!
Subsequently, WAX launched WAX AllAccess, now known as the WAX Cloud Wallet. WAX AllAccess is the first simple login tool for the WAX blockchain, providing users with a more convenient login method, making it easy for people to access WAX.
Since its inception in 2019, we’ve seen thousands of DApps launch on the WAX Blockchain, from games to tools, bringing endless possibilities to users. We’ve seen incredible innovation time and time again, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
Over the past five years, not only have independent creators minted and traded hundreds of millions of digital collectibles on the WAX Blockchain, but well-known brands and celebrities such as Funko, Capcom, NASCAR, AMC Theatres, Hot Wheels, Hasbro, Mattel, and even William Shatner have joined in, making the WAX NFT ecosystem increasingly powerful and prosperous.
This year, our partnership with Amazon has injected new vitality into WAX and accelerated the mass adoption of web3. For the WAX blockchain ecosystem, the partnership with Amazon is a huge leap forward. For developers, the partnership with Amazon is the beginning of an era of convenient operations. The new WAX AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) allows developers to launch their own chain for games or projects directly on WAX, similar to how Polygon Chain runs on Ethereum, except that it is powered by WAX's unique features.
But we know that this is just the beginning. In the next five years, we look forward to more breakthroughs and innovations.
