According to Odaily Planet Daily, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently issued a warning that job advertisement scams for working from home are on the rise. Scammers will proactively contact potential victims and offer a relatively simple job, such as rating a restaurant or "optimizing" a service by repeatedly clicking a button. Scammers will even direct victims to a fake interface that shows they are making money, but in fact they cannot cash it out. When victims are instructed to pay cryptocurrency to fake employers to "unlock" more jobs, the money goes to the scammers. According to Statista, the number of remote workers worldwide is expected to rise to 28% by the end of 2023.
