US Politicians Called Out to Biden to Save Binance Executive

US politicians called for the rescue of the Binance manager, who is a US citizen.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul and 11 others sent a letter to Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs Roger D. Carstens.

Politicians gave Biden the message that the Binance manager, who has been detained in Nigeria for three months, should be rescued.

“We fear for his life.”

Binance's legal compliance manager, Tigran Gambaryan, visited the country on February 26 at the invitation of the Nigerian government to discuss Binance's compliance issues.

The letter stated, "After two meetings, the Nigerian government took Gambaryan hostage."

It was emphasized that Gambaryan is a US citizen and said, “We are afraid for his life. Action must be taken as soon as possible to ensure his safety and save his life. “We must act quickly before it is too late.”

The Nigerian government accuses Binance and Gambaryan of money laundering and tax evasion.

Gambaryan's family announced that he was sick. Gambaryan fainted during the hearing in Nigeria on May 23.

Politicians said that the judge decided to transfer Gambaryan to a private hospital, but the prison administration has not yet fulfilled this decision.
