Odaily Planet Daily News Cryptocurrency scammers recently hijacked the official Microsoft India X account with more than 211,000 followers, impersonating Roaring Kitty (Meme stock trader Keith Gill). Microsoft India's X account is marked with a gold V, indicating that it has been officially verified, which increases the credibility of the fraudulent posts. The hijacked account was used to reply to tweets, directing fans and other users to malicious websites, falsely claiming to provide Gamestop (GME) cryptocurrency pre-sales. This phishing website is designed to steal assets from anyone who connects to a cryptocurrency wallet and authorizes a transaction. In addition, many robot accounts forwarded the hijacked posts, expanding the scope of influence and attracting more victims. (Bitcoin.com)
