Binance founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao will spend the next four months in a federal prison in California for failing to implement an adequate know-your-customer (KYC) program at the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange. 🏛️ Zhao pleaded guilty to violating the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in November, and in April a federal judge sentenced CZ to four months in prison. Zhao's net worth is $36.5 billion, making him the richest person to go to prison in the United States. 🤑 Zhao was also fined $50 million and agreed to step down as CEO of Binance. Binance settled the charges earlier this year by paying a $4.3 billion fine to various federal regulators and appointing an independent compliance monitor. What are your thoughts?
