A notorious hacking group claims to be behind the hack of one of the world's largest banks.

Notorious group ShinyHunters claims to be responsible for a new data breach at Santander, claiming that the personal information of 30 million customers is now up for sale.

The group says the data will be sold once to one bidder for a whopping $2 million.

Cyber ​​threat news outlet Hackread reports that it has seen data that allegedly contains 30 million customer records, 28 million credit card numbers, 6 million account and balance numbers, as well as employee lists and citizenship information.

Santander recently confirmed the data breach, saying that “certain information” from an undisclosed number of Santander customers and employees in Chile, Spain and Uruguay were affected.

The banking giant revealed few details about the incident, saying only that "transaction data" and "credentials" were not shared.

ShinyHunters also claims responsibility for the Ticketmaster hack and says it sells data on about 560 million of its customers, including their full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and order history information.

The group is known for high-profile cyberattacks involving major companies including Microsoft, Mashable, AT&T and T-Mobile.
