Cryptocurrency Bill is being discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Committee

The Planning and Budget Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey met to discuss the bill regarding regulations regarding cryptocurrencies.

CHP Izmir Deputy Rahmi Aşkın Türeli said that the cryptocurrency bill was submitted to the Justice Commission and the Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission, but it was not discussed in the secondary commissions.

Türeli requested that a subcommission be established on the issue. Türeli's proposal was supported by İYİ Party İzmir Deputy Ümit Özlale.

MHP Istanbul Deputy İsmail Faruk Aksu stated that a long period of time was given for the bill to be examined before it was submitted to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, and the bureaucrats were informed, and that there was no need for a sub-commission.

The chairman of the commission, AK Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Muş, did not see any harm in continuing the meeting. Muş said that MPs were given the opportunity to discuss the issue in detail without any time limit.
