PANews reported on May 24 that according to Bloomberg, Jian Wen, a 42-year-old British-Chinese, was found guilty of "participating in arranging money laundering" by a British court in the UK's largest Bitcoin money laundering case. Today, Wen was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison by Judge Sally-Ann Hales KC. Defense lawyer Mark Harries said Wen was "deceived and used" and deeply regretted his involvement with the "mastermind." The prosecution insisted that Jian Wen was motivated by greed and financial gain and was the decision maker of the crypto wallets he controlled.
