Bitcoin and Ethereum Fluctuated, $385 Million in Liquidity

Bitcoin and Ethereum prices began to fluctuate ahead of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) decision regarding spot Ethereum ETFs.

Ethereum price was trading at around $3,500 around the time markets closed in the US. After news began to emerge about the SEC approving spot ETFs, the price rose as high as $3,900.

Similarly, Bitcoin rose to over $68,000 in a short time after falling to $66,000.

According to CoinGecko data, as of this morning, Bitcoin is trading at just over $67,000 and Ethereum is trading at around $3,700.

Market fluctuations have led to many investors going liquid. According to Coinglass data, positions worth $385 million belonging to more than 105,000 investors were liquidated in the last 24 hours.

$147.3 million of this consists of Ethereum positions, and $71 million consists of Bitcoin positions.
