Odaily Planet Daily News: The Algorand Foundation slammed Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana in its latest ad, saying they are too slow, expensive, or error-prone. The ad was posted on YouTube and is titled "When blockchain meets the real world, only one can be realized." The ad scene is set at a supermarket checkout counter, where shoppers try to pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. In the ad, customers who pay with Bitcoin are told that the transaction takes 27 minutes to complete; Ethereum payers are told that the transaction fee is as high as $112; and customers using Solana cannot pay because the transaction failed. In contrast, customers who pay with Algorand can complete transactions instantly and at low fees. The ad has been viewed more than 700,000 times on the X platform. One commenter pointed out: "Algorand runs at 21 transactions per second (TPS), which cannot fund its main explorers, but has invested more than $100,000 in advertising." (Cointelegraph)
