zkSync, an Ethereum-based zero-knowledge (ZK) solution, has hinted at a token distribution following the shipping of the v24 release, expected at the end of June. 🎉 This project uses ZK cryptographic technology to scale Ethereum (ETH) blockchain and offer users affordable transactions on the world's second largest decentralized network.

Ethereum gas fees have become even cheaper with the introduction of proto-danksharding via the Dencun upgrade. According to data from L2Fees, it costs less than a dollar to send ETH or swap tokens on the zkSync layer-2 rollup.

zkSync developer Matter Labs has raised approximately $458 million from venture firms including Blockchain Capital, Dragonfly Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

If zk rollup announces a token next month, Matter Labs will join other Ethereum projects distributing tokens to investors.

zkSync is firmly defending its commitment to decentralization with the upcoming release of v24, the final protocol upgrade required before turning the network over to community management.
