In the initial stage, Hong Kong citizens can open digital RMB wallets through Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and Bank of Communications, and can add value through Fast Payment System (FPS), directly deduct from RMB accounts, or deduct Hong Kong dollar accounts and instantly exchange for RMB. At the same time, bank cards can also be used to add value, which is convenient for Hong Kong people to make cross-border payments to the Mainland. It is reported that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority will hold a press conference as early as tomorrow afternoon to announce the details of the launch of cross-border use of digital RMB in Hong Kong, which will be presided over by Li Dak-chi, deputy director of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
