The project's founders call the fight against witch attacks "the eternal battle between good and evil."
LayerZero Labs CEO Bryan Pellegrino announced that as many as 100,000 wallets have self-reported Sybil activity.
The CEO stated that “over 100,000 confirmed datasets will be extremely powerful to find others using the same software or similar methods, and those who have not self-searched should disclose their witches” and that this data collection will be extremely valuable in identifying future actors using similar methods and software to conduct fraudulent activities.
According to the team, users who voluntarily disclose their Sybil activities before May 17 will receive 15% of the initial airdrop tokens, and those who fail to self-retrieve and are subsequently identified will be excluded from the token distribution.

LayerZero has also entered into strategic partnerships with leading analytics firm Nansen and renowned security firm Chaos Labs. The goal is to analyze transactions between LayerZero applications and prioritize support from developers and loyal users. A comprehensive report on Sybil detection is expected to be released after the self-retrieval deadline.
Despite the massive scale of self-retrieval, some users remain skeptical. One user named Moriarty openly questioned LayerZero’s detection capabilities, mocking the company and urging Pellegrino to find his hidden 25,000 witch wallets.
