Personal WeChat and Alipay payments exceeding this amount will be strictly checked!
1. WeChat and Alipay single payment transactions will face spot checks.
Starting from May 1, according to the "Notice of the People's Bank of China on Strengthening Risk Prevention of Payment Services of Non-Bank Payment Institutions", WeChat and Alipay single payment transactions exceeding 3,000 yuan may face spot checks. The spot check rate varies according to the transaction amount, up to 10%.
Depending on the transaction amount, the spot check rate is also different. For transactions of 0-10,000 yuan, the spot check rate may be 2%, for transactions of 10,000-50,000 yuan, the spot check rate may be 5%, for transactions of 50,000-100,000 yuan, the spot check rate may be 8%, and for transactions above 100,000 yuan, the spot check rate may be 10%.
From the perspective of the spot check rate, transactions exceeding 100,000 yuan may face the greatest probability of spot checks.
The new regulations are mainly aimed at combating illegal activities and protecting the public's payment security, as well as protecting personal privacy. Alipay reminds users that if the user's transaction amount exceeds 3,000 yuan, Alipay may have a certain risk of random inspection. When users conduct large transactions, they should actively cooperate with relevant regulations to avoid triggering random inspection risks.
