Zilliqa will release network update to version 9.3.4 on May 20
Zilliqa network update v.9.3.4 will be launched on the mainnet on May 20th. Please note that this is not a full network upgrade or hard fork, so no action is required from node operators.
Zilliqa (ZIL) is a public, permissionless blockchain designed to provide high throughput and secure execution of smart contracts. Launched in 2017, it was the first blockchain to implement sharding, a technology that allows new blocks to be confirmed in parallel, significantly increasing the number of transactions the network can process per second. Zilliqa's native cryptocurrency, also called ZIL, is used for transaction fees and as "gas" for executing smart contracts. The main goal of the project is to provide new solutions to the scalability problem of existing blockchains, thereby enabling the effective use of blockchain technology in sectors that require high-speed transactions, such as digital advertising, gaming and financial services.
