According to Foresight News, the Cosmos Hub community has launched a "Gaia v16 software upgrade" proposal vote, which will end on May 10. The Gaia v16 version introduces the ICA Controller submodule, the IBC rate limit module, the initial rate limit outlined in Proposal No. 890, the IBC fee module, and the ICS epochs (part of ICS v4.1.0). Before the Cosmos Hub is upgraded to the final version, validators and node operators have joined the public testnet to participate in testing the upgrade to the candidate version. If the governance vote passes, the validator needs to update the Cosmos Hub binary according to the stop height specified in the on-chain proposal.
