Digital poetry has become even hotter, with Mad Arts, an innovative museum of digital art and technology, purchasing 22 digital poems from theVERSEverse earlier this month, an acquisition that marks one of the most significant collections of digital poetry ever purchased by an institution.

Curated by a group of acclaimed poets, the works are minted on the Tezos blockchain and will soon be on view at Mad Arts’ physical space in Dania Beach, Florida.

Hans Zimmer composes theme song for web3

In unexpected creative mashup news today, renowned composer Hans Zimmer has created the Tron blockchain’s new theme song, “The Tron Anthem,” which has reportedly been in development for over two years and was created in collaboration with Tron founder Justin Sun.

Zimmer is known for his work on film scores such as Inception and The Dark Knight. The song, a blend of orchestral and electronic music, is said to reflect the values ​​of web3. In an article published by CoinTelegraph, Zimmer seemed to praise the ethos of web3, saying:

"Everything that the Western world was built on is of course a legacy code of the Industrial Revolution, our education systems were built around that, our governments were built around that, and once the internet came along I don't think we really knew how to use it, and I think we need to move away from those philosophies and those limitations."

Samsung launches NFT gallery app

Getting ready for NFTs on TV, Samsung will launch the Samsung NFT Gallery TV app on April 24, which connects to Samsung Lifestyle TVs and enables users to view high-quality digital artworks of their favorite NFTs.

The functionality is made possible through Samsung’s bundled integration with the OpenSea marketplace, Polygon’s second-layer blockchain, and Ledger’s Smart Wallet, as part of a broader initiative the brand is calling “GEN|3|GATE” to improve the digital experience in metaverse gaming.

STEPN and adidas announce new product launch

adidas and mobile fitness app STEPN recently upped their sneaker game with the launch of an ultra-limited edition co-branded Genesis Sneaker NFT, which, according to a tweet, will feature four unique sneaker designs, including a rare look inspired by the colors of the brand’s official web studio, ALTS by adidas.

The sneakers NFT collectible was listed at 10,000 GMT (worth approximately $2,293 at the time of writing) and minted on Solana, with the drop taking place in two phases from April 17 to April 21.

While it’s unclear whether minting Sneaker NFTs will net holders a physical pair of shoes, the collectibles do offer exclusive perks, including the upcoming STEPNCard release.

Color Me Cool is now online

Cool Cats is uniting its community through a colorful new art project. The NFT brand recently shipped 3,000 blank miniature cat statues to holders for them to customize and paint any way they like. Once completed, proud owners can scan a near-field communication (NFC) chip to create a shareable digital rendering of their unique statue.

The Color Me Cool project was created in partnership with Macy’s Interactive Design Studio, which uses artificial intelligence to create generative art.

Azuki’s “Into the Garden” is released this month

Get ready, Azuki fans! The brand’s long-awaited anime anthology, Enter The Garden, is set to launch this month, with an all-star creative team behind the first episode, led by console game animation heavyweight Junichi Yamamoto and renowned character designer Kinu Nishimura, along with voice actors Akari Kito and Tomokazu Sugita.

The series aims to merge traditional anime with blockchain technology, providing the Azuki community with the opportunity to co-create and own part of the intellectual property (IP).

Azuki said on Twitter that over time it plans to iterate and improve this novel process, where creative teams can provide unique stories and expressions of IP, while the community is rewarded for ownership and participation.

The highly anticipated MetaTABI boots are here, with the Maison Margiela collection hitting digital shelves on April 17. The MetaTABI NFT combines the iconic toe design with exclusive benefits, available in white or black and comes with a handcrafted boot or a custom leather wallet.
