Hong Kong could approve Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs on Monday
Expectations of Hong Kong approving ETF products are considered one of the biggest developments that will change the cryptocurrency market in the short term.
Hong Kong could approve spot bitcoin ( $BTC ) and ethereum ( $ETH ) exchange-traded funds on Monday, Bloomberg reported
If the listing details are resolved in time with Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing (HKEX), the products could be launched by the end of the month, according to the report.
Harvest Global Investments, a major asset management firm in China, which was reportedly the first to file for a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), and a product of Bosera Asset Management (International) Co. and HashKey Capital, You could be the first to get approvals.
The approval timeline is not fixed and remains subject to last-minute changes, the people said.
Hong Kong's approval of ETF products is considered one of the biggest developments moving the cryptocurrency market and could establish Hong Kong as Asia's leading digital asset hub.
