The Fed did not raise interest rates for the first time in 15 months
The Fed did not raise the interest rate, leaving it at 5.25%. The regulator gave a break for the first time after 15 months of continuous “tightening the screws.” But they also noted that they do not exclude at least one more rate increase in 2023, after which a reduction is possible.
The department also emphasized that they continue to focus on an inflation rate of 2%.
