EU adopted a law to regulate cryptocurrencies
The regulation applies to all EU countries.
The main points of regulation:
- Licensing of all participants in the crypto market;
- Stablecoin collateral control;
- Tracking of all transactions, including those using non-custodial wallets.
It should work like this: you send a friend crypto, be kind enough to make a report for the tax authorities.
All transfers in crypto are considered international and therefore absolutely all transactions will have to be registered. It is not clear how they are going to implement all this, but it sounds crazy.
For now, we can live in peace, the law will come into force in January 2025...
