According to Degen TechFlow news, Degen Chain has attracted many speculators since its launch last week, but it has also encountered some criticism.
Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron said that the L3 network only transfers value from Ethereum to the L2 network building L3 and does not require L3 to expand. He believes that the value of Ethereum does not entirely depend on the L2 network. If all L3 networks converge on one L2, it will threaten the security of Ethereum. He emphasized that they are focused on Polygon PoS and $BONSAI, and don’t care where people build the L3 network, they just don’t want to attract all the value to the Polygon network, but share it fairly with Ethereum.
It is reported that Degen Chain was built by infrastructure provider Syndicate through Arbitrum Orbit on March 28 as a low-cost network for Degen tokens ($DEGEN). Users of Farcaster Web3 social media services frequently use DEGEN, making it a community token.
