For Alpha mainnet, VSL is a Layer2 built using a tweaked OP stack. -Alpha node. Users can choose to start an Alpha node or delegate RSS3 to an Alpha node. During the Alpha mainnet, Alpha nodes will receive rewards but will not actually contribute to the information network. Contributions will be gradually introduced into Beta and production mainnet. -Delegation. Users can now delegate RSS3 to specific Alpha nodes. -Chips. Delegation proof Chips can be minted when users stake their tokens to a specific node. Once the production mainnet comes online, users will be able to destroy these Chips to redeem RSS3. -Cross-chain and portfolio functionality.
