transactions. The tokens were burned

in two transactions, each consisting of

9.64 billion and 3.81 billion SHIB

tokens, respectively. Interestingly, the

burn occurred hours after Shiba Inu

marketing lead Lucie disclosed that

40 ETH would be used to initiate a

massive SHIB burn. However, it turned

out that the Shiba Inu ecosystemn team

later burned more SHIB tokens than

expected. Commenting on the

development, Lucie revealed that

$340,000 worth of SHIB, equivalent to

80 ETH, was destroyed in the end.
