Michaël van de Poppe noted in an X (formerly Twitter) post that “there is still around 40-60% market cap to be gained for altcoins.” In a subsequent post, X noted that the valuations of these crypto tokens in BTC pairs are still relatively low, indicating that “strength is still to come.”

The analyst believes that the valuation of these altcoins should be done using “Bitcoin values”. He noted that if this were done, “most altcoins would still be very undervalued” compared to the flagship cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, he hinted that altcoins will benefit from these significant gains once Bitcoin strengthens.

Michaël van de Poppe detailed the correlation between Bitcoin and these altcoins in a video published on his YouTube Channel. The analyst stated that Bitcoin reaching new highs means there is more money in the market, and this money will soon turn into other crypto tokens.

When this happens, expect these altcoins to post significant returns, which may be underestimated due to the bear market stigma. Meanwhile, Michaël van de Poppe predicts that the altcoin season will come in different rounds. The former will see these crypto tokens approach their all-time high (ATH), or even break it as seen in some.
