Fed chairman Jerome Powell: It seems likely that we will start reducing interest rates this year. For this, though, we'd like to see more convincing data.
Powell: There are as many risks brought by late and slow interest rate cuts as there are early and rapid interest rate cuts. We must strike a good balance here.
