L2 networks are making a comeback in popularity.

Against the backdrop of increasing cost of commissions in the Ethereum network, transaction volumes grew by 90% in Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.

It is likely that the surge in volumes is also influenced by the Dencun update, which is expected to be released on March 13.

In May 2023, IntoTheBlock predicted that after the update, commissions for exchanges on L2 networks will be at the level of 2 - 4 cents.
