South Korean blockchain technology company Ozys' cross-chain protocol Orbit Bridge suffered a $81.5 million hack, Foresight News reported. In a blog post, Ozys accused its former chief information security officer of arbitrarily weakening the company's firewall before the security breach occurred. Ozys has filed a lawsuit for damages against the former chief information security officer and asked local police to investigate the former employee's possible connection to the hack. Ozys claimed that the former security director made several modifications to the internal firewall on November 22, two days after the employee submitted a request for voluntary resignation. He left the company on December 6 without informing the company of the changes made to the security settings, and Ozys discovered these parameter changes on January 10.
