Brief Summary

Binance accepts fiat and crypto deposits from external wallets and bank accounts. The method you should use will differ depending on the currency you want to deposit.

Be sure to check the blockchain address and enter the correct memo or transaction ID if necessary. If the blockchain network is congested, you may experience delays in your crypto deposits. In such a case, it may take a little longer than usual for your transaction to be confirmed. If your issue persists after some time, please contact Binance Customer Service.

Depending on the method you use, it may take a few days for your fiat deposits to appear in your account. If you're experiencing long delays, check to see if your deposits have been suspended before contacting customer service.

Entrance

Before you can start buying and selling cryptocurrencies on Binance, you need to deposit fiat or crypto funds into your account. There are different methods to invest your funds. Some take longer than others, so you may need to be a little patient. You can follow the steps below to ensure your funds are SAFU and safe to access.

How to deposit cryptocurrency to Binance?

In this example, we will deposit BNB from Trust Wallet.

1. Log in to your Binance account. After logging in, hover your cursor over [Wallet] and click [Fiat and Spot].

2. Click [Deposit].

3. Select the [Crypto] tab.

4. Select the cryptocurrency you want to deposit.

5. If the cryptocurrency is mined on more than one network, choose which network to make the deposit.

For example, BNB is issued as BEP-2 token on Binance Chain, BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Therefore, if you have BEP-2 tokens in your transfer wallet, select the BEP-2 deposit address. Be very careful in this step. If you make your deposit to the wrong address, you may lose your funds.

6. Depositing BNB requires both a deposit address and a MEMO. You will need to copy and paste both of this information into the appropriate fields on the wallet you will use to deposit crypto to Binance.

Why is a MEMO needed? Because the BNB deposit addresses of all Binance users are the same. MEMO is a unique identifier assigned to each account that allows Binance to identify a deposit and deposit the funds into the relevant account.

7. Donate your Trust Wallet to BNB.

8. Tap Send.

9. In this field, paste the deposit address and MEMO that you copied from the deposit page on Binance. You can also scan the QR code using your phone's camera.

10. Confirm the transaction. Once you send your funds from Trust Wallet, you can view the status of the transaction from a blockchain browser by searching for the transaction ID (TxID). We recommend using the official Binance Chain browser for this.

11. You can see the incoming funds in the Transaction history section on Binance.

Are there fees for crypto deposits on Binance?

You can deposit your cryptos to Binance for free. However, you should remember that you will have to pay a transaction fee when you send your cryptos from your wallet to Binance. If you are transferring your funds from an exchange, you may have to pay a withdrawal fee to export your cryptos.

Maximum and minimum deposit amounts with and without KYC

The amounts that users can deposit and withdraw are much lower if they have not completed KYC (Know Your Customer) verification for their accounts. The applied limits vary by country. Therefore, the best way to find out the limits is to log in to your account and go to your profile page. Each new verification level will also increase your deposit and withdrawal limits.

How long does it take to deposit funds to Binance?

As soon as your crypto deposit passes a sufficient number of confirmations, your funds will immediately appear in your Binance Spot Wallet. However, heavy network traffic and congestion may cause delays. You can check the status of your transfer with its TxID (Transaction ID) using blockchain scanners such as BscScan for Binance Smart Chain and EtherScan for Ethereum.

Fiat deposits depend on the method you use to send your money. It may take hours or days for funds to be credited to your account. For more information, you can go to the fiat deposit page and select your preferred deposit method.

Why can't I deposit funds to Binance?

If you are trying to deposit crypto or fiat to Binance, your deposit may not go through for two main reasons. The first is that Binance occasionally suspends fiat or crypto deposits for updates or technical maintenance. If you tried to transfer fiat and your fiat currency is no longer supported, Binance will refund your funds to you (usually within seven business days).

If you are having trouble depositing crypto, it is often due to user error. Binance shares the payment information you will use with you on the deposit screen. Be sure to carefully copy this information to the withdrawal wallet or payment service page.

Binance suspends deposits from time to time. Therefore, you can check your email or current Binance announcements for more information. Also make sure that you have correctly copied and pasted the wallet address from Binance and selected the correct blockchain network. You may also need to add a tag, MEMO, or payment ID to successfully deposit your crypto.

What should I do if the funds I deposited to Binance do not arrive?

If you deposited fiat and Binance did not credit the funds to your account, contact Binance's customer service team. Fiat deposits may take several days to complete.

If you deposited crypto to the correct address without a MEMO, label, or payment ID, you can use the self-service form to get your funds back. For this you will need some basic information about your transaction such as TxID, amount and sender's address. This process only works if the blockchain makes enough confirmations of your transaction.

If your transaction is not confirmed, the network may be congested and you may need to wait a little longer. Different blockchains require different numbers of confirmations. As we mentioned before, you can check the transfer status of your assets using your TxID through a blockchain browser.

How to check if a deposit was successful?

If your crypto deposit has successfully passed sufficient verifications, your funds should immediately appear in your Binance Spot Wallet. You can check this process by going to [Wallet] - [Summary] - [Transaction History].

For fiat deposits, the funds must appear as soon as they successfully arrive in Binance's account. You can see this in the [Fiat and Spot] section of the website.
