It is preferable to enter and exit on the same day... or in 2-3 days maximum, if you are not sure what you are waiting for... or waiting for what most people expect to happen... for the stock market to rise, or a specific project.
Even making 10 small trades with a profit of 5–10%... in 5/7 days, is preferable... to waiting for x2 or x3 in the long run... if you are not sure if it is a good time to make input, if the project worked...etc.
But always with calculated loss margins, and minimizing the latter as much as possible, especially in bearish cycles/trends... better even to wait outside, sometimes seasonally.
