According to Odaily Planet Daily, Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev revealed that since the beginning of this year, the losses caused by cybercrime in Russia have exceeded 1.25 billion US dollars. Both individuals and organizations, including government agencies, often become victims of digital crimes.

Kolokoltsev stressed that these crimes pose a growing threat to the country's economy and citizens' property rights. Over the past five years, the number of cyberspace violations has more than doubled, now accounting for 40% of the total, and 60% of serious and particularly serious crimes.

Since the beginning of this year alone, the total losses have exceeded 116 billion rubles. To combat this trend, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has strengthened its IT crime unit, with nearly 1,000 students taking computer and information security courses and more than 750 employees upgrading their qualifications.
