According to Bloomberg, Cencora paid a $75 million ransom in three installments in Bitcoin in March. The initial ransom demand was $150 million. Cencora discovered the theft in February and mentioned the costs associated with the cybersecurity incident in its July quarterly report. Cencora has a market value of approximately $46 billion and revenue of $262 billion last year. The company said the incident would not have a significant impact on its financial condition or operations. Despite paying the ransom, there is no guarantee that the hackers will not make the stolen data public.
