According to ChainCatcher, the DePIN project Spacecoin plans to provide high-speed Internet services to underdeveloped areas by launching nanosatellites. The project has received support from US military generals, lunar scientists, NASA astronauts, and blockchain industry experts.
Spacecoin will use blockchain technology to manage data transmission, and users can use cryptocurrency to pay for network fees. The first satellite, CTC-0, is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2024, with the goal of building a global 5G network at a lower cost to help narrow the digital divide.
