According to Cointelegraph, Mysten Labs, the creator of the Sui blockchain, plans to deliver the first handheld gaming device SuiPlay0X1 integrated with the Sui blockchain in the first half of 2025. The device is priced at $599 and is now available for pre-order.
Mysten Labs co-founder Adeniyi Abiodun said SuiPlay0X1 will demonstrate the seamless integration of blockchain technology with traditional games to enhance player ownership and gaming experience.
The SuiPlay0X1 weighs 677 grams, has an integrated graphics processing unit, and runs the Linux-based Playtron GameOS, which can run a number of AAA PC games. Sui-supported games include XOCIETY and DARKTIMES.
Founded in 2021 by four former Meta Crypto executives, Mysten Labs first announced the development of a new handheld gaming device at the Sui Basecamp event in Paris in April.
SuiPlay0X1 can be pre-ordered with Sui (SUI), Ether (ETH) and Solana (SOL). Twelve hours after the pre-order announcement was released, more than 1,000 devices have been pre-ordered.
