According to Odaily, a report released by ScamSniffer in August highlights that approximately 9,145 victims lost around $63 million due to cryptocurrency phishing scams. This represents a 34% decrease in the number of victims compared to July, but a significant 215% increase in the amount stolen.
One notable case involved a victim losing up to $55 million in a phishing scam targeting proxy ownership. The report also noted a significant decline in the number of fake accounts on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
