According to PANews, Shobhit Maini, global head of digital assets at Citigroup’s markets division, has left the company to pursue other opportunities in the crypto industry. Maini has worked at Citigroup for more than 14 years, most recently as head of the digital assets team.
According to a memo sent last week by Lee Smallwood, Citi’s head of markets, innovation and investments, Maini left to “pursue entrepreneurial opportunities in the digital asset space.” Deepak Mehra, Citi’s global head of markets strategic investments, will take over as global head of digital assets.
