According to a court motion, Mango Markets attacker Avi Eisenberg asked the court to dismiss the fraud and manipulation charges and hold a new trial, according to Foresight News. His lawyers believe that the Southern District Court of New York is not an appropriate venue for the trial, and that the government has not proved that Avi Eisenberg intended to manipulate the price of Mango Markets' perpetual contracts. The next sentencing is scheduled for November 13.
According to previous news from Foresight News, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Avraham Eisenberg of planning an attack on Mango Markets in January last year and stealing approximately $116 million worth of crypto assets from Mango Markets.
