According to ChainCatcher, blockchain climate technology company Raad Labs announced the completion of a $2.25 million financing round led by CoinFund, with participation from Tribe, EV3 and Protagonist.

Raad Labs improves climate data measurement and prediction by deploying a distributed sensor network through the DePIN model. The network monitors weather patterns, greenhouse gas emissions, wildfire risk, soil degradation, and more.

By leveraging web3 technology, Raad incentivizes sensor operators to generate the high-quality data required for high-precision environmental management.

Additionally, TJ Ragsdale, who co-founded battery storage DePIN protocol Entheos Network, has been named CEO and co-founder of Raad Labs.
